It would be great if we could access stoic from web and windows
Definitely agree. I can’t download apps on my work laptop which means I can’t use stoic when I need it the most–in the middle of a stressful workday.
Huzzah!!!!
We need a desktop version for windows, this would be a game changer for us windows user and also you would target a huge group of people. Something to think about.
I came here to suggest this. So happy I’m not the only one and it’s planned! Great app!
Agreed, this would be fantastic. Typing on my computer vs on my phone is a way better experience.
Is this intended to look like that when I want to sign in via browser? It makes me worrying when I see I login for something else^^
Hi! Great job on the web editor! Looking forward to the markdown integration as well!
I noticed an issue though as I was trying to open a past entry on my Firefox web browser, but I am unable to click most of them, and hovering over shows “This entry is available on your other devices” message. I have icloud sync enabled if that matters.
It only supports journals, other type of content is only supported through native apps that you can download from the App Store
@Gino Valentino Pensuni for some reason Apple displays our other app. They told us they will solve it but they still didn’t
Can someone please confirm that support for the web app (https://app.getstoic.com) is still on your long-term product roadmap?
I am new to the Stoic app and currently in a short free trial. I had initially hoped my Stoic iOS app and my Stoic MacOS app would be synced and I could seamlessly move between the two, using either at any given time but this doesn’t seem possible.
The web app would be a decent alternative to synching as my primary focus is on journaling and I don’t want to always be restricted to my phone for long entries.
I know the web app is currently marked “beta” which is fine but long-term availability of this option will be key to me maintaining my subscription. I had planned on purchasing a annual subscription but with some uncertainty around the viability of a web app, I think I am going to switch to monthly for now.
Hi @jcboyless, stoic on the web is something we definitely want to have.
We have faced a number of technical issues with Apples CloudKit framework with is as only way to sync with stoic on your other devices using iCloud. We are waiting for a resolution from Apples side, and until then the site remains in beta.
We have bigger plans regarding the website and at some point we will begin working on our own secure backed with user accounts and syncing as an alternative to iCloud and full cross platform integration.
Regarding the iOS app not syncing - version 2025.3 fixes the sync, there was a bug where in one step the sync would loop infinitely and would not progress to further stages so everything should be back to normal now :)
Cheers!
Thanks for the response! And great to hear. User accounts would be much better than iCloud syncing for multi-device use.
