At the moment, you can very easily bypass the “Protect with Touch ID” feature (latest Stoic App on latest macOS).
Open stoic.
Stoic asks for a password for fingerprint on macOS.
Just drag any window (even stoic) to the right outside of the desktop to spawn a second desktop.
Back in stoic, click “Cancel” in the dialog which asks for a password or fingerprint.
Stoic is unlocked, allowing access to everything (without providing anything).
(unable to report this as a bug as this feature always displays an error)

Fixed in version 2026.15 (coming soon) - Thank you for reporting the bug!
