Keep my handwriting in journals ✍️#17

Hi, I wanted to tell you that I love your app. It is so beautiful, love the add ins like reminders, prompts and breathing. I couldn’t wait to buy the premium version but I want to keep my handwriting. Can you make an option to Journal with our own handwriting and choose to not have it switch to typed words.

Idk if it’s what Virginia wants said, but I really would want a better handwriting support. The benefits of handwriting over typing on keyboards do not have to be demonstrated anymore. So should be fine to have the possibility to handwriting our daily diary but not considered as screenshots ✍️

I wanted to ask exactly for this feature, too! With Apple Pencil on the iPad it would be so cool to just write down everything like in a proper paper journal. And not use just screenshots. When are you planning this?

I was really excited about this app but not being able to actually journal, write things down with my iPad and pencil is a deal breaker for me. Stoics of anyone know the power of handwriting. The slowness of it forces you to think deeply.

A feature for writing with apple pencil better: When I write with the current app its kind of like not intuitive and it gets really annoying in way like some parts of the screen doesnt sensor the writing it gets kind of random where u can write or can’t write. I would like it to be able to be able the sensor the apple pencil writing anywhere on the screen. And also it would help if it can identify handwriting more easily with less errors? Idk if thats something u can do but I got to ask. I have an ipad so I would love to be able for it to be used smoothly so I can enjoy the writing experience! Hope it can be implemented.

Completely agree with everyone here, it’s a glaring hole in an otherwise great app.

I teeter between goodnotes and stoic because of this feature, i hate the way the writing to text works on stoic. its rough and doesnt always keep thr charachters im writing. this could be solved by keeping a handwriting element.

Please include proper handwriting. I have cancelled my subscription as will t use this without it. I hate typing on an iPad.

Here to voice support for adding handwriting support for journals. Scribble is very slow and not a thoughtful experience for this type of journaling, it is surprising handwriting has been ‘planned’ for so long.

Agree. Was so excited about this app until I discovered you can’t actually write. Will upgrade once that support is offered.

In addition to handwriting, I’d like font support. I’ve converted my handwriting into a typeface font and would like to be able to use that for my journal entries only.
