It would be great to have further options to choose from and dive deep into.

Custom emotions under the mood tracking tab would be really nice for this

An app called “how we feel” have a lovely way of categorising your moods more with sub-selections, who are you with, what are you doing, and where are you. This helps you to better identify what triggers what sorts of moods. They also have a much bigger catalog of emotions.

Love this idea. I like how the app already guides the emotions by how you check in on your mood, but a better guide is the “emotion wheel”. I’ve found it incredibly helpful when trying to hone in on how I am actually feeling. Being able to select “happy” is not granular enough

I would love to see this feature expanded on. Adding custom moods just like we add the custom daily focus points would be awesome.

I really like the new sliding scale of the mood check in. It adds a visual element as well as manual (you need to slide your finger) and makes it easier to remember prior days mood. Excellent!

Yes I liked the extended mood picking, too. The one that is often listed when you search online for Emotional Granularity.

The How We Feel app does this really well! Something like this would greatly enhance the journaling experience in this app

Additional feature I’d like to see is a notification you can enable to remind you to check on your mood.

I would love the option to make custom moods in the Mood Check In selection. Some of the options don’t feel like they ever really apply to me, and some other things I feel constantly are missing.

Overall it would be welcoming for Mood Check-In to receive some love; also, integrating Mood Check-In with Apple’ Health app would be ❤️🤙🏻

Definitely more mood options. The Feeling Wheel can be a good example.

Also it would be nice to disable the “advice” stage after checking in some uncomfortable emotions. Reading a longer version of “just let it go” is extremely annoying. The reason I prefer apps to talking sometimes is because apps give me an opportunity to just check in my mood, without trying to cheer me up.

The initial Mood Assessment question appears at the start & for me this feels too rushed & quick to be answered without allowing revision/ correction of that choice since there’s no back arrow for editing at that point. The “How Do You Feel” question at the very start of the day can be multi-layered (not just singular) especially if in a rush or not yet “sufficiently caffeinated.”

WHAT I’M TRYING TO ASK IS: could you allow a back arrow for revision of the 1st “Mood” selection?

Or even perhaps offer a differentiated approach:

SPONTANEOUS:
• At this [very] moment how you feel?
[Mood Scale]

AFTER REFLECTING ON ANSWER GIVEN:
• If you feel you answered out-of-habit or assumption

Close your eyes & and take a moment to listen to your body & your thoughts: is the answer the same or different?
[Mood Scale]

Which answer do you feel more accurately describes your feelings?

Would you like to continue comparing your answers, based on this exercise, each morning?

If we don’t have the ability to log our correct emotion how we feel it, it defies the purpose of emotion logging feature. Probably, the developers feel that listing the entire gamut of emotions is not in sync with the minimalistic theme of the app. Therefore, a reasonable compromise that I suggest is to give us the option of “other” where we can write our emotional status when it is not available to select among the options in the list.
